Enzym Group news in November: training and opportunities, sustainable development, event with Flakes superfood

Read more about the events and news of November 2025 in Enzym Group.

This month, another course “Fundamentals of Biotechnology” from Enzym Group started. This is a free training for students in grades 8-11, which we conduct in our R&D center.

This course is a real introduction to the profession with real practice, experiments and discoveries. Students have the opportunity to really try themselves in biotechnology at the R&D center in Lviv: learn to decipher genes, analyze data, understand how life works at the DNA level, and feel like real researchers.

The main focus of the training is the areas that shape the future of medicine, the agricultural sector and the food industry. Many graduates of the course later enter biotechnology and medical specialties, and some continue their studies abroad, participating in international STEM programs.

In addition to professional knowledge, the course promotes the development of self-organization, initiative and critical thinking, and also expands the circle of communication with peers.

We held the 6th stream of Biotech Studios Enzym Group

This intensive brings together students of 4-5 years of biotechnology majors from all over Ukraine to study at our R&D center.

This time we received 93 applications — the most since the initiative’s inception. For our team, this is yet another proof that we have created not just an ordinary project, but a real bridge that turns dreams of working in science into real opportunities.

After all the stages of selection, 15 male and female students got a chance to work with our specialists.

“I liked the technical part. For example, seeing biotech production equipment with my own eyes, and not just from drawings and 3D models. It was also interesting to see equipment that I had never even heard of before,” shared a participant of the biotech studios.

Inspired, we are already preparing for the next set.

Enzym Group at the 5th International Sustainable Development Forum ISF2025

Our CEO Andriy Tsegelyk took part in one of the panel discussions during the event, sharing our experience in biogas production, sustainable development and ESG.

The forum once again emphasized that sustainable development is not only a strategy for post-war recovery, but also an economic vision of the future.

The values of caring for the environment, people and more encourage businesses to be socially responsible.

One of the principles of Enzym Group is playing for the long term, which allows us to form the right approaches to business and count on the long-term perspective. Our company was one of the first in Ukraine to build wastewater treatment plants to reduce environmental impact. Since then, we have invested more than 10 million euros in this project.

Such projects do not give quick results. But these are the decisions that give us the opportunity to look confidently into the future and count on the future. Without a responsible attitude to environmental issues, this prospect is not there.

Enzym Group always relies on its own strength. Given our experience, the main challenge is access to resources and technologies. Grants and financing can be difficult, foreign specialists do not always want to go to Ukraine because of the war. Therefore, support from the state in these matters is extremely important.

Despite all the challenges, we hold on to our values and move forward.

Enzym Group in the energy efficiency study by Top Lead for Forbes Ukraine

In Ukraine, 59% of companies have their own energy generation facilities, and Enzym Group is among them.

This year's study by the Top Lead agency for Forbes Ukraine confirmed a good trend in Ukrainian business towards its own energy independence. The long-term phased modernization at the enterprise over decades is part of our strategic approach.

Enzym Group replaces an average of 60% of natural gas with biogas of its own production.

Over the past three years, we have managed to reduce electricity consumption by 8.2%, heat by 18.5% and water by 6.7%. For us, it is not only about tangible numbers, but also about responsibility for the future.

We strive to strictly adhere to ESG principles, so we continue to work for sustainable development.

Flakes from Enzym Group at For Fit Day

The Flakes brand from Enzym Group has become a partner of For Fit Day - an international event that brings together thousands of people who play sports, maintain an active lifestyle and seek inspiration in healthy daily rituals.

Flakes willingly supports initiatives that inspire others to take care of their bodies and well-being.

Participation in such initiatives is another step in developing a culture of conscious and tasty food in Ukraine. We are building a community centered around self-love, healthy living, enjoyment of food, and support for like-minded people.
