We talked about approaches that help production grow without losing control, lean philosophy as daily work on eliminating losses and planning that synchronizes customer needs with production capabilities.
Despite different industries, the challenges of manufacturing companies are often similar: how to scale without losing efficiency; how to build processes that work not only today, but for years; how to create a culture of continuous improvement.
That is why such meetings are valuable. After all, they give an opportunity to look at your own path from a new angle.
We also told how a biotech company and its factories work for schoolchildren who study at a biotech school run by Enzym Group. A biotech school for students of Lviv schools in grades 8-11. They have the opportunity to study the basics of biotechnology in our R&D center. And as part of this training, the schoolchildren came to us for an excursion.
Enzym Group at business events in June
Iryna Voytovych, Chief Communication and Reputation Officer of Enzym Group, became a participant in one of the discussion panels at Women Career Day by Happy Monday.
The focus of the discussion is that today career decisions are less and less limited to a position or salary. More and more often, the decisive factor is whether your values coincide with the environment in which you work.
So how do you understand that the company's values are real practice, not a slogan on the website? One piece of advice is to be interested in how the company went through periods of crisis, because it is at such moments that its true character is best revealed. And of course, look not only at the brand, but also at the people. At those with whom you will have to work on Monday morning, and at those who stay in the company for years, change roles and continue to develop.
At Enzym Group, 38% of employees began their career path decades ago. These are stories about how to grow, change and discover new selves within new roles. And this is a fact that speaks about the environment and opportunities within the company.
And the CEO of Enzym Group Andriy Tsegelyk became a speaker at the Business Process Management Conference 2026 from ABPM Ukraine Chapter.
Today, Enzym Group is transforming into a global biotechnology company. For us, it is not just about entering new markets or growing the business, it is about taking responsibility for how the company works internally.
We are convinced that systemic changes begin with an honest understanding of where we are now and what needs to be changed in order to remain competitive tomorrow. That is why we consistently adopt international approaches to management, develop cross-functional interaction between teams and build a model in which knowledge becomes part of the system.
We thank the organizers for the space to talk about how to build a business that is capable of working in the long term.
Enzym Group Awards
Congratulations to Olena Vovk and Rostyslav Vovk with the “UP-100. Business” award from Ukrainska Pravda.
For our teams, this is not only about personal recognition of both co-owners of Enzym Group and Kormotech LLC, but also about joint work over many years aimed at the development of Ukrainian business, economy and the future of future generations.
Being a family business today means not only developing our own companies, but also taking responsibility for long-term changes and strengthening Ukraine’s presence in the world. We are proud that we walk this path together every day. It is thanks to people, their professionalism, concern and willingness to act that changes that matter are born.
Once again, we congratulate the Ekonomichna Pravda team on its 20th anniversary. We are glad that Ukraine has media that have been shaping the space for conversations about business development, the economy and the future of the country for years. We value our cooperation.
Enzym Group also received a special distinction “Strategic Impact” in the “BPM Project of the Year 2026” award from ABPMP Ukraine Chapter for transformation through Lean TPM.
This award is a recognition of several years of work by a team that changes approaches, questions the usual every day and builds a system that can develop together with the company.
Lean has never been a separate project or a set of tools for us. It is a path that we walk together: from the first teams and initiatives to a culture of continuous improvement, where everyone can be part of the changes.
Was this path easy? It was not and remains so. But Enzym people are ready to learn, set ambitious goals and develop what we have today.
We thank the team and continue to improve, because the Lean philosophy has no final point.
Olena Krasovska on the new role of ingredients in an article for New Food
Familiar ingredients may have a new role in the food industry.
This is what Olena Krasovska, director of the Enzym Group R&D center, told in a column for the British New Food. If bioactive compounds were previously associated mainly with sports nutrition, now they are increasingly considered as a tool for daily health support and active longevity. Creatine, collagen and glutathione are just a few examples of such substances.
For manufacturers, this is an opportunity to take a fresh look at the needs of consumers and create solutions that take into account their physiology, lifestyle and long-term needs.
In this context, biotechnology is also becoming increasingly important. Fermentation processes, on which the Enzym Group team is working, in particular, are opening up new opportunities for creating functional yeast solutions.
10 years of Enzym Group R&D Center
On June 29, 2026, Enzym Group created its own R&D center as part of the company’s long-term transformation. At that time, we did not yet possess many technologies and were only forming a scientific platform for future development.
As Enzym Group CEO Andriy Tsegelyk recalls:
“We did not really understand all the capabilities of the yeast cell, but we were definitely thinking about how to form a scientific platform. Today, the laboratory has been producing results for 10 years, and the team of scientists is constantly developing new products for Food and Feed Solutions, which help us move forward and offer the market new solutions.”
Today, Enzym Group’s R&D center is a team of over 20 scientists, a pilot line with full reproduction of industrial conditions, a touch panel for testing taste characteristics, and the latest equipment.
For us, it’s not just about research. It is about the ability to respond faster to market needs, work on our own technologies and create products that meet the current challenges of the industry.
And this is one of the foundations of Enzym Group’s transformation into a global biotechnology company.
Partnerships with educational institutions
Supporting science has the greatest value when it creates opportunities for scientists and students.
This is exactly how our cooperation with Doctor of Biological Sciences Oleksandr Yushchuk is developing. He is a recipient of the UCU Orest Vovk scholarship, which is funded by Enzym Group.
Working with a scientist and teacher has grown into a real synergy. In addition to supporting his work, we shared our own expertise with students and, based on the R&D center, showed how biotechnology works.
The lecture for UCU students was given by Olena Krasovska, Director of the R&D center. She joined a practical course where future specialists learned to work with yeast, an important object of modern biotechnology.
In addition, we also decided to answer the questions of students of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies of Lviv Polytechnic. There are over 100 faculties, institutes and educational programs in the natural and biotechnological direction in Ukraine. One of them is the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies. In total, about 1,000 students study here in various directions, from biotechnology to chemistry. This year, the institute is graduating 140 bachelors and 134 masters. Today, many of them are faced with a choice: what professional opportunities are there in Ukraine and whether it is worth building a career here.
“We see that students are interested not only in the fact of employment. Important for them are internship opportunities, internships, acquaintance with real production processes and corporate culture of the company,” says the director of the Institute, Bohdan Dzinyak.
Enzym Group is one of the Ukrainian biotech companies that provides a chance to try yourself in the profession and get your first practical experience. Every year, they organize an educational practical intensive Biotech Studio in their own R&D. In April 2026, the Deep-Tech Laboratory was opened at the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies with the support of the company.
CEO of Enzym Group Andriy Tsegelyk shares his vision of opportunities for young people.
“I graduated from university in the 90s. Those were difficult times in terms of work. In addition, back then it was difficult to get practice or opportunities to gain additional, more in-depth knowledge. Now there are many offers for young people: both training courses, and AI, and businesses that are happy to take on young specialists as interns or trainees, and this should be used.”
