Supply Chain is no longer just an operational function - today it determines how a business responds to demand, manages costs and competes in the market. At Enzym Group, we consider supply chain as a business management system, not a separate function.
According to World Bank estimates, logistics generates about 10-12% of global GDP. At the same time, the market continues to grow: in 2025 its volume was estimated at approximately $38.5 billion, and by 2030 it could reach $58.4 billion, according to MarketsandMarkets. However, key changes are taking place not only in scale, but also in management approaches.
Enzym Group operates an end-to-end supply chain - a model that covers all stages: from planning and production to product delivery to the customer. This approach allows us to consider all processes as a single system and make decisions not locally, but at the level of the entire chain.
Modern supply chain goes far beyond logistics. At Enzym Group, it directly influences strategic decisions: what to produce, in what quantities, and how quickly to respond to changes in demand. That is why we consider it a key factor in the availability of the product on the market and as the basis of service for customers.
The supply chain model determines whether a business makes money or loses. In practice, there are two basic strategies - push and pull. At Enzym Group, we work according to the pull principle: we focus on actual demand and build processes in such a way as to quickly respond to customer orders. This is especially important given the short shelf life of our products and the need to work with minimal inventories.
At the same time, flexibility alone does not guarantee results. Without systematic management, the pull model can lead to production overload and supply disruptions. That is why at Enzym Group we are implementing S&OP (sales and operations planning) - a system that synchronizes sales, production, purchasing, and finance.
This approach allows us to move from reactive management to a managed system where demand and resources are aligned and decisions are made based on data. In fact, S&OP helps us maintain flexibility without losing control over processes.
We measure supply chain efficiency through a set of indicators. For Enzym Group, the key indicators are the level of service, in particular the out-of-stock indicator for customers, as well as the level of order fulfillment. Thanks to the coordinated work of all divisions of the company, we ensure an order fulfillment level of over 99.5%.
This is possible only when production, logistics, purchasing and planning work as a single system - exactly as the end-to-end supply chain is built in Enzym Group.
Another important aspect is cost control. System planning and process synchronization allow us to reduce the number of situational decisions and keep costs under control even during growth. In Enzym Group, this includes working with energy efficiency, optimizing production processes and increasing logistics efficiency.
The basis of this system is the accuracy of demand forecasting. It is what allows you to effectively plan production, manage resources, and avoid shortages or surpluses of products.
As a result, competition between companies is increasingly moving into the realm of supply chain efficiency, not just products. It is the supply chain that is becoming a factor that determines the availability of goods, service quality, and financial results.
In the coming years, this role will only increase. At Enzym Group, we see key drivers of development in digitalization, increasing forecasting accuracy, and using data for decision-making. Analytics and automation technologies that allow you to transform data into specific management actions will play an important role.
In the new reality, those companies that can build a holistic, flexible, and manageable supply system will win. That is why at Enzym Group, we are developing supply chain as a strategic business function.
Because today, the winner is not the one who produces more, but the one who manages their supply chain better.
